Kal or Kool in Persian is called valleys and straits. Kal Jenny means the Valley of the Elves. It is the valley where the jinn live. It was the custom of our forefathers to give strange places strange titles. Kal Jenny is so weird that using the word genie for it is no exaggeration. Of course, perhaps they meant that this was made by jinns. In this case, it is still not surprising, because with the current science, the construction of such a valley is understandable for us. While for our fathers, it must have been a wonder how such a valley was built.

Kal Jenny is a long and wonderful valley located in the north of Tabas, about 30 km from this city. A very long valley, of course, a small part of which can be visited and walked. This valley has been created by water erosion for thousands of years and for this reason, beautiful shapes have been created in the middle of the valley. Parts of the valley are wide open and parts of it are very narrow. The high walls of this valley make it difficult to see the sky in some places.

There is a small river in the middle of the valley and in the parts where the river route is blocked, the water depth increases and it is not easy to cross it. In the middle of this small river, wherever the conditions are right, a lot of “reed” plants have grown and in some places they have made it difficult to cross. Of course, this dense greenery in the middle of such a valley is one of the reasons for its attractiveness.

To visit the valley, you have to move from Tabas to Ezmighan village. After about 30 km on the right side of the road, a sign has marked the route of Kal Jenny. From here there is a short road and at the end there is a space for car parking. The trail starts from here and you can enter the valley. It is possible to enter the valley from several routes, but to find the most beautiful places and also to maintain safety, it is better to use the guidance of experienced people. Visiting the valley will take at least 3 to 4 hours. Some places have a slope and therefore proper shoes are essential.

After visiting Kal Jenny, be sure not to forget the Ezmighan option. A beautiful village near the valley where you can relax and get rid of the fatigue of the valley.
