Marmishoo Lake

About 45 km west of Urmia and among the mountains of this city when we reach the border of Iran and Turkey; There is a natural and very beautiful and spectacular lake with an area of approximately 5 hectares; It is home to a variety of aquatic animals, including salmon, and various migratory birds, which is a very good place for tourists and nature lovers to spend their leisure time.

This lake is located on a roaring river and the existence of very beautiful mountains along the lake, which are green and very depressing from mid-April to September, has created a unique view. Of course, because the lake is in a mountainous area, it can naturally be used as a resting place only during the warmer months of the year. In summer, the presence of a variety of plants and birds gives this area so much charm that it amazes every viewer. The river is shallow in summer and some of its parts can be crossed with caution and its pristine and scenic areas can be used more; However, this is not so safe and is not recommended at all due to the speed of the river, especially for children.

The depth of the lake also seems great and it is better to use only the beautiful scenery along the river. Following the Marmisho River in the direction of the spring leads to the border checkpoint, which can not be further advanced.
