One of the trekking routes in Tehran is the old road of Imamzadeh Davood, which starts near Farahzad and leads to this Imamzadeh. This route is a road that depending on the weather conditions and the amount of rainfall, parts of it can be traveled by car. The beginning of the route starts from Farahzad neighborhood and after leaving the urban space, a relatively wide valley appears. There is a small river in the middle of the valley, around which small and large trees can be seen in many places. The volume of water in this river increases and decreases depending on the seasons, but its water flows almost all year round. The water of this river is supplied from springs along the way.
After a short distance, the valley becomes narrower and in some places the distance between the walls of the valley is the size of a road and a small river. After a distance of 2 to 3 hours, on a path with a gentle slope, a mountainous path with a steep slope begins to pass over the hills overlooking Imamzadeh Davood. These passes are snow-capped and often show significant snow until mid-spring. From this point, you can see the dome of Imamzadeh Davood and reach Imamzadeh in a short distance.
The total trekking distance is about 13 km, which can be covered in about 5 hours. During this distance, there are no amenities and it is necessary to bring all the necessities of travel.
