Qeshm Island, due to its strategic position, has always been considered by governments, especially colonialists, so that for a long time, the island has been dominated and influenced by countries outside the region. The Orange Castle is one of the remnants of the island’s exploitation.

In the western corner of the island, next to the village of Basaido, there are traces of a cemetery that belongs to the time of the presence of British citizens on Qeshm Island. This small cemetery is located in an enclosed space and there are a number of graves in it. Some tombs have tombstones and some can be seen without tombstones. In a corner of the cemetery, a relatively tall column is seen as a sign. This cemetery belongs to the Qajar period, which is why it has been largely destroyed.

This cemetery is located in the farthest point from Qeshm city. That is, on the west coast of the island and therefore a relatively long distance of about 120 km from the city. It takes about 1.5 hours to reach this place. The cemetery is located next to the Basido pier and can be reached by car.
