Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad Province” are among the provinces that have unique tourist attractions in Iran and have a variety of tourist attractions. Roaring rivers, beautiful lakes and towering mountains are some of the natural attractions of this province. This province is located in the middle of the Zagros Mountains and due to its abundant water, beautiful gorges have been created in it.

About 6 km east of Yasuj, along the Eghlid road, there is a beautiful gorge called Mehrian, which is one of the famous recreational places in this area. Tang Mehrian is a beautiful attraction in Yasuj, which attracts many tourists in summer and spring. There are several fish farms in this area that play a main role in increasing the attractiveness of the area. The variety of trees such as poplar, sycamore, oak, maple, pine, wild grape and pistachio in Tang-e Mehrian has made this area fresher.

Mehrian has a clear and beautiful river. This river eventually joins the Beshar River to enter Khuzestan province as one of the tributaries of the Karun River.

It is located at the beginning of the gorge along the road and after passing through a small promenade with a number of pavilions and other amenities, you can enter the gorge. The passage of this gorge is short most of the year due to the large volume of water in the river and it is not possible to navigate the whole gorge. Due to the small width of the gorge and the passage of the river through it, there is no suitable space to relax and use nature anywhere, and you can only enjoy walking on this path. The passage of the river through the rocks has created low waterfalls that have shown an attractive atmosphere with a tree-lined view.

Mehrian Gorge is not long and in a short distance the high walls end and a large space around the river can be seen.
