Most of the villages on Qeshm Island are located on the north coast of the island and the south coast has fewer inhabitants and is more pristine in nature.

In the southernmost part of Qeshm Island, with the farthest distance from Qeshm city, is one of the most important sights of this island, the long distance of which has not removed this natural monument from the list of sights and many tourists are willing to visit it.

The Qeshm Salt Cave has been created with a different atmosphere in the depths of a large salt dome. Of course, several salt caves have been discovered in Qeshm Island and in this salt dome, only one of which is open to the public, and visiting the other caves requires coordination and professional equipment, because due to the presence of large salt chandeliers, the probability of an accident is high.

The distance of the salt cave from Qeshm city to the main road of Basaeido is about 130 km, which takes at least 2 hours to reach. Part of this route during the rainy season there is a possibility of temporary blockage. Despite the signposts along the way, finding the salt cave will not be difficult.

After reaching the parking lot of the salt cave, you can reach the entrance of the cave with a short walk. This cave is not deep and it takes about half an hour to visit the whole of it. Normally, you can use the company of guides in this cave.

The entrance of the cave and inside it is covered with salt veins and beautiful crystals and has created a beautiful landscape for photography and sightseeing. The space inside the cave is natural and without lighting, and for this reason, visiting the cave will require a flashlight. Of course, under normal circumstances and in times when it is not crowded, you can use the flashlights provided by the cave guides.

Due to the looseness of the walls and roof of the cave and the possibility of its collapse, it is better to visit the cave in the shortest possible time and also to avoid touching the walls and ceiling while maintaining silence. In general, it is recommended to use a helmet to visit such caves.
