In the east of Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad province and in the green foothills of Dena, there is a large area with rich vegetation that remains pristine and untouched due to its impassibility. Various species of mammals and birds can be seen in this vast area. The diversity and number of these animals is such that the foothills of Dena are defined as a protected area in a wide radius and are maintained by the Environmental Protection Organization. Of course, a significant part of this protected area is located in Isfahan province, and for this reason, both provinces can be considered sharers.
Different views can be seen in the Dena Protected Area. There are dense forests downstream. In the middle parts of the shrub vegetation and in the higher parts and near the peak, only low grasslands can be seen. But in all these areas, traces of wildlife can be seen.
In addition to the wildlife attractions of this area, its various nature attractions are also remarkable. Attractions, some of which are known to most nature lovers. One of them is Lake Kuh-Gol near the city of Sisakht. The beautiful Khafr waterfall is another attraction located in the middle of this protected area.
Entering and visiting many parts of this protected area requires obtaining the necessary permits from the Environmental Protection Organization.
