Maran (Also called: Khobekandi) is a waterfall in the heart of the mountains of Takht-e Soleiman region, which is located near the village of Maran. Maran waterfall with a height of 62 meters is located in the village of Maran in Tonekabon, Mazandaran province.

 To go to this special, beautiful and unique village, which is about 60 km away from the center of Tonekabon city, you have to enter the forest road of Se-Hezar and cross its roaring river and pass through dense trees and memorable water features to the beginning of the road. A mountain known as the Alamut Road, which is under construction.

This mountainous road with pristine nature, with beautiful rocks on one side and deep valleys on the other, leading to a roaring river, fascinates the eyes of every viewer, and the closer you get to Maran. 

After reaching Maran village and car park at the Entrance of the village, a gentle slope walk that takes about two hours to reach the waterfall is waiting for you.

With high pressure water, pebbles flow from top to bottom, which can cause serious injuries if you do not have the helmet and safety equipment, so please avoid approaching the waterfall separately.

In addition to visiting the waterfall for all people, there is the possibility of canyoning in this waterfall and specialized canyoning groups in this waterfall are engaged in adventurous activities.
