One of the interesting features of Hormoz Island is its colored soils and minerals and its variety of colors is exemplary. These colors are scattered in a wide space on the island of Hormoz. For example, in the red soil mine, a beautiful red color can be seen, and in the valley of silence, the whiteness of salt can be seen along with the orange color of the soil.
But the highest color density in a small environment can be seen in the Rainbow Cave. A small cave that looks like a painting space and can be seen in dozens of different colors.
Rainbow Cave is located in the southeastern part of the island, about 10 km from Hormoz. It is a bit difficult to reach, but it can be crossed by everyone with caution. This cave is located in the depths of a small valley and it takes about 15 minutes to reach its mouth. It is not far from the entrance of the cave to the end of the cave, but because most of the route must be traveled sitting, visiting the cave will take some time.
From the entrance of the cave, the variety of colors can be clearly seen, but as you approach the depth of the cave, this variety increases and at the end of the cave, a space full of vivid colors can be seen. At the end of the cave there is a small chamber whose walls and ceiling are covered with layers of different colors.
Visiting the cave is possible for everyone but requires a minimum of physical fitness. It is also necessary to have a flashlight with you because the cave is dark. Due to the loose walls and roof of such caves, it is better to avoid touching the components inside the cave. It is also recommended to have and use a helmet if possible.
