Kuh Gol Lake is located 10 km southeast of Sisakht and can be reached on foot in about an hour. The lack of access by car has left the lake largely untouched and no amenities have been built around it.
The position of the Opert Wall is such that it prevents clouds from passing from the north to the south, so the view of the cloud ocean can be seen in this area most days of the year.
Tang-e Boraq (Boraq Gorge) is another erosive gorge in the north of Fars province, which is located about 160 km from Shiraz and near a village of the same name.
To control the seasonal floods of the Kor River and store its water, a dam called Mulla Sadra has been built on it. This dam is located about 175 km north of Shiraz and near the city of Sedeh.
