If you are a little nature-loving and especially desert-loving, you must have heard the name of Maranjab desert and you may have seen this area before. Maranjab is a large desert area in the north of Aran and Bidgol in Isfahan province and has long been a regular part of desert tourism programs and almost all nature groups and travel agencies run weekly tours to this destination.

The main reason for this attractiveness; The diversity of tourist attractions, the diversity of animal species and vegetation in desert areas and of course the amenities that exist and have been built here. That is, if you go to Marnjab, you will see both the desert, the salt lake and the ancient caravansary. If you wish, you can spend the night in the same caravansary in an ancient space with suitable facilities.

The way to reach this desert area is through a relatively long road, which, although not a quality road, is passable for almost any type of vehicle. It is only necessary to travel carefully and at a low speed, in which case you can complete this 35 km road in about 2 hours.

Most of this desert is covered with sand dunes and very rich and significant in terms of vegetation. In many places you can see herds of camels grazing freely, and during the night, you can definitely see jackals and foxes.
Existing animals in this aria include wolves, jackals, hyenas, sand foxes, sand cats, beetles, chameleons, lizards, snakes, scorpions, terns, eagles, and hawks.

If you like to enjoy the silence of the desert, Marnjab is not a good place to do so unless you choose non-holiday days to travel. The desert is crowded on holidays and there are many off-road and nature groups in the desert.

The distance of this desert from light sources and big cities is another reason for its attractiveness and has made those interested in the night sky of the desert and night photography pay a lot of attention to this place. Being close to Tehran, of course, is another significant reason. From Tehran to Marnjab desert can be reached in about 5 hours.

Do not forget that you need a relatively long time to visit the desert and the salt lake and the caravansary, and therefore in your planning, pay attention to the fact that as the weather gets dark along the dirt road, it will be a little difficult to return.
