Kaluts are natural features that occur due to environmental erosion in sedimentary mountains or hills of desert areas. This erosion can be due to wind or due to rain and running water in the riverbed.
Klots are found in different parts of Iran. But the largest of them is located in Kerman province and around the city of Shahdad, and for this reason they are known as Shahdad Klots.
One of the suitable places to visit this desert is Halvan village, which is about 80 km from Tabas and 30 km from the main road of Tabas to Khor and Biabank.
At the end of the road that connects Mesr to Farahzad, there is a large hole with a different view. A large pit known to the locals as the Chal Selkanun (Selkanun pit).
