Waterfalls are one of the fascinating natural sights that attract many enthusiasts. Large and small waterfalls can be seen in most provinces of Iran, but the highest density of this phenomenon can be seen in the northern and western provinces, which are located between the Alborz and Zagros mountains.

“Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari” is one of the provinces that has an important position in terms of the number and dimensions of existing waterfalls due to its mountainous and rainy climate. Some of the waterfalls in this province have top rankings in Iran.

At a distance of 90 km northwest of Shahrekord and in the direction of Sar-agha Seyed village, one of the beautiful waterfalls of “Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari” province is located. This waterfall, known as “Sheikh Ali Khan“, is located near the road in a village of the same name. This waterfall is not difficult to reach and can be reached with a short walk.

Sheikh Ali Khan is not in the category of high waterfalls and after flowing it flows as a small river. Next to the waterfall, there are brief amenities for travelers.

The best time to visit this waterfall is mid-spring, when this area is at the peak of its beauty. Due to the cold weather in this area of ​​”Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari” province, the nature around the waterfall is usually dry before this time. From late spring, the volume of waterfall water gradually decreases and its attractiveness decreases. The vegetation of this area is not full of trees and is mostly in the form of green pastures.

Sheikh Ali Khan waterfall route and its surroundings have many tourist attractions and can be visited. There are also accommodation facilities along this route.
