Lakes and ponds are one of the most attractive destinations for travel and nature lovers. These places have a favorable climate and green environment, creating a suitable space for rest and entertainment. There are many examples of these ponds and lakes throughout Iran, most of which have become a place to spend leisure time.

Meanwhile, Kermanshah province, due to its mountainous and rainy environment, has a relatively large number of these catchments and lakes. One of these reservoirs is located near the city of Sarpol-e Zahab and is known as “Sarab Garm” or in the local language “Sarav Garm“.

This reservoir is actually a large and watery spring that provides drinking water and a significant part of agricultural water in the city of Sarpol-e Zahab and the surrounding villages.

Sarab Garm Spring has two separate parts. The larger part of the area for drinking water supply is enclosed and protected and it is not even possible to visit it. But the smaller part, which is the overflow of the larger part, is made in the form of a large and relatively clean pool, which has created an ideal space for relaxation and entertainment.

The unbearable heat of Sarpol-e Zahab, which is located in the tropical region of Kermanshah province, has turned Sarab Garm into one of the most attractive places to spend a few hours in a pleasant atmosphere and body in cool water during hot summers. On all days, especially on holidays, many enthusiasts enter Sarab Garm  to swim in the cool and clean water of these pools.

Sarab Garm water is supplied from underground springs, so it is completely clear and can be easily seen. The ponds are surrounded by lush trees and dense reed plants, and this factor has made this area more attractive.
Sarab Garm is located 5 km west of Sarpol-e Zahab and can be visited by the general public.
