Daryuk Lagoon

Daryok Lake

Kelardasht in Mazandaran province is one of the areas that has many tourist attractions, especially in the field of nature tourism. Beautiful summers, pristine forests, rivers and beautiful lakes are part of Kelardasht souvenirs for its travelers. Kelardasht is located on the route of one of the main roads from Tehran to the north, namely Chalous Road, and this is one of the reasons for the double fame of this summer region.

Daryuk or Deyuk Lagoon is the name of one of the Kelardasht reservoirs, which is attractive to many tourists and nature lovers due to its unusual appearance. Daryuk is a swamp whose entire surface is covered with colorful green plants and algae so that in many places, the water under the green plants is difficult to see. A space that is rarely seen in lakes and swamps.

Daryuk is not big, it can be visited in less than half an hour. Its surroundings are surrounded by tall and beautiful trees, which makes it more attractive. The access road to the lake is a relatively long road, the passage of which is not recommended except for SUV vehicles. If you wish, you can walk the route, which will take about 2 hours. The whole route is about 4 km from the place designated as a parking lot and is mostly an uphill route through a dense and beautiful forest. Along the way you can see the forest huts that belong to the shepherds of the area.

It is possible to visit this lagoon in all seasons. Each season has its own charms. In spring, the freshness of the trees is exemplary, and in summer, wild fruits double the pleasure of travel, and in autumn, a forest of a thousand colors can be seen. In winter, you can see the forest with a white background of winter snow.

There are no amenities and accommodation along the way and it is better to have water and food with you for the whole time of your trip. Also avoid entering the lagoon as it is associated with dangers.
