Estuaries are areas where seawater seeps into the coast and creates large areas with shallow water. Estuaries are found along the entire coastline of the Persian Gulf and the Sea of Oman, and most of them grow vegetation rich in saline aquatic plants.

Shallow water and its changes due to sea tides create environments that are continuously affected by sea water and air, and these environments provide a good environment for plants and animals to grow in such a way that In addition to small animals, many migratory birds can be seen in most estuaries.

In the south of Iran, there are many estuaries with the mentioned conditions, most of which are located in this province due to the long coastline of Hormozgan province.

In the east of Hormozgan province and near the Bandar-e Jask, there is a large and beautiful estuary called “Shahr-e No” which has displayed beautiful landscapes due to its remarkable vegetation. The vegetation of this estuary is like many other estuaries of mangrove trees that show up in this area. These trees are able to withstand the salty water of the sea and therefore have been able to grow well in these areas and adapt to the environment.

Khor-e Shahr-e No consists of a series of large and small waterways, which can be seen by entering each waterway with beautiful views of these trees. Among the trees and in their corners, you can see many birds, some of which are permanent residents and some of which are short-term guests of this area.

The best place to enter this estuary is the village of Bahl, from where you can reach this estuary in about half an hour by fishing boats.
