“Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad” is a small province in the southern half of Iran and borders the provinces of “Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari” and Khuzestan. Being between these two provinces with different climates has caused “Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad” province to have two completely different climates in a small region. In the north of the province, a cold and mountainous climate can be seen, and in the south, a warm and relatively dry climate prevails.

Basht is one of the cities of this province which is located in the tropical region. This city, with its unique nature, attracts many enthusiasts. From late March to early May, nature is at the peak of its beauty and therefore the best time to visit these areas is early spring.

On the way to Gachsaran, at a distance of 7 km from this city, there is a beautiful tourist area that many enthusiasts visit. This area is known as Shelaldon and is composed of lush oak pastures and forests.

Shelaldon consists of a large area on both sides of the road, which is suitable for camping and staying in nature for several hours due to its large and relatively flat space. For this reason, the residents of the region and distant cities welcome this region on holidays, and many travelers can be seen around it.

Shelaldon tourist area does not have amenities and there are no other facilities except for a few cafes along the way. For this reason, it is necessary to bring the necessary items for the period of stay in this area.

Access to this area is easy through Basht to Gachsaran road and can be reached without a long walk.
